FeedX prepares AI-assisted drafts from a merchant's product information. The merchant remains in control of review, factual accuracy, legal compliance, and the decision to apply content to Shopify.
1. Acceptance
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between FeedX ("FeedX," "we," "us," or "our") and the person or organization that installs, accesses, or uses FeedX Copycat (the "App," "you," or the "merchant").
By installing or using the App, you confirm that you have authority to bind the relevant business and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. The service
The App helps merchants create AI-assisted Shopify product titles, descriptions, and summary highlights based on product catalog information and merchant instructions. The App may also save approved highlights to an app-owned product metafield for display through an optional theme app block.
Features, limits, interfaces, integrations, and provider availability may evolve. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue a feature where reasonably necessary to improve the App, address security or legal requirements, or maintain compatibility with Shopify and service providers.
3. Shopify account and permissions
You must maintain a valid Shopify account and authorize the permissions required by the App. You are responsible for your Shopify account, staff permissions, product catalog, theme configuration, and all activity performed by authorized users of your shop.
You must provide accurate information, protect account access, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized App activity. Do not send passwords, Shopify access tokens, AI provider credentials, or other secrets by email.
4. AI-assisted content and merchant review
The App uses automated systems to generate suggested content. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, unsuitable, non-unique, or inconsistent with laws, platform policies, brand rules, or third-party rights. It is assistance—not professional, legal, medical, regulatory, or business advice.
You are responsible for reviewing every proposed title, description, highlight, and claim before applying or publishing it. In particular, you must verify product materials, dimensions, ingredients, compatibility, certifications, warranties, health or performance statements, prices, availability, and any other fact important to a purchasing decision.
The App requires an explicit action before applying a draft and separately asks for title approval. Those controls do not replace your responsibility for the final content. You must not rely on the App as the sole check for accuracy, compliance, accessibility, or intellectual-property issues.
5. Plans and Shopify billing
The App may offer free and paid plans with different monthly usage limits or features. Current plan details are shown in the App or in Shopify's hosted App Pricing experience. Paid subscriptions and applicable app charges are created, approved, billed, and managed through Shopify.
Shopify's billing terms, taxes, currency handling, refunds, and payment processes may apply in addition to these Terms. You can manage or cancel a paid subscription through Shopify. Unless required by law or expressly stated in the applicable offer, fees already charged are non-refundable. A cancellation may take effect according to the billing state shown by Shopify.
If the App cannot confirm billing status temporarily, access may be limited to the last verified entitlement or the available free plan until verification succeeds. You must not attempt to evade plan limits, usage accounting, or Shopify billing controls.
6. Acceptable use
You may use the App only for lawful business purposes and in accordance with Shopify's policies. You must not:
- submit or publish content that is deceptive, unlawful, infringing, defamatory, discriminatory, unsafe, or designed to facilitate fraud;
- use the App to invent or disguise unsupported product claims, fake reviews, certifications, guarantees, scarcity, discounts, or regulated claims;
- probe, scan, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass the App's security, access, billing, or usage controls except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- introduce malware, automated abuse, or content intended to manipulate the AI provider or service infrastructure; or
- use the App in a way that violates another person's privacy, confidentiality, publicity, or intellectual-property rights.
7. Ownership and license
You retain your rights in product information, brand material, instructions, and other content you provide. You grant FeedX a limited, non-exclusive license to process that material only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the App in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
As between you and FeedX, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you may use output generated for your shop. AI output may not qualify for intellectual-property protection, may resemble other content, and may incorporate patterns common to similar requests. You are responsible for confirming that your use of source material and output does not violate third-party rights.
FeedX and its licensors retain all rights in the App, website, software, workflows, interfaces, documentation, trademarks, and branding. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the App or a right to copy, resell, sublicense, or create a competing service from it.
8. Privacy and confidentiality
Our Privacy Policy explains the information the App processes, how AI providers and other service providers are involved, and how information is retained and deleted. You are responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any rights or permissions required for product content and merchant instructions you submit.
Each party will use reasonable care to protect the other's non-public confidential information and will use it only for purposes connected with the App, except where disclosure is required by law or permitted by the information owner.
9. Availability, changes, and third-party services
The App depends on Shopify, AI providers, hosting, networks, and other third-party services that FeedX does not fully control. Features may be delayed, unavailable, or changed because of maintenance, provider limits, API changes, security events, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may release updates, impose reasonable technical or usage limits, or require a supported browser, Shopify version, theme configuration, or reauthorization. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or permanent availability of any provider, model, feature, or integration.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the App and uninstall it through Shopify at any time. You may need to remove or disable the optional theme app block separately through your Shopify theme editor.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create a security or legal risk, fail to pay applicable Shopify charges, abuse service resources, or if continued operation becomes unlawful or impracticable. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
Terms that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, accrued payment obligations, and general legal provisions—will survive.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and all generated output are provided "as is" and "as available." FeedX disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
FeedX does not guarantee that output will be accurate, unique, compliant, error-free, or suitable for a particular audience, nor that using the App will increase conversion, revenue, traffic, search ranking, or customer satisfaction. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FeedX will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or anticipated savings arising from the App or generated output.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FeedX's aggregate liability arising from or relating to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the App during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) US$50. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.
13. General terms
These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement concerning the App and replace prior discussions about the same subject. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue.
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. FeedX may assign them in connection with a reorganization, merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of relevant assets. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Neither party is liable for delay caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Applicable law and mandatory consumer or commercial protections continue to apply. Before starting formal proceedings, each party should make a reasonable effort to resolve a dispute by contacting the other, unless urgent relief is needed.
